Mount Bible

The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New Testament,
1813, Evert Duykinck, New York. Hills # 229, Numbered as
Hills.

This Bible has a leather covering over the binding, so I can't make
a good assessment of its true condition. Some pages (a few) have
fallen out, but all seem to be there. There is a spine crack.

There is little ephemera and stuff -- a few leaves, and a couple Sunday
school lessons from 1877. There is also a couple jottings from someone
about Elizabeth Shelp, just dates from this Bible, though.

Placed inside this Bible was a Mount family register from another Bible.

Garret G. Lansing & Rebecca Van Vechten Mount were
married Oct. 14th 1828.

James A. Shelp and Elizabeth Ann Mount were married on
the 5th day of October A. D. 1832.

Henry Snook and Mary Jane Mount were married on the 5th
day of January A.D. 1835.

William Henry Edwards & Eleanor S. Mount was married
March the 22nd 1842.

Christopher S. Seeber and Margaret Mount were married on the
11th day of Febuary A.D. 1854

William H. Seeber Jr. and Catherine Mount were married on the
11th day of Febuary A.D. 1854

Benjamin Mount and Maria Putman were married September
