Woolverton Bible

This Bible was purchased at auction, and the family
is very distantly related to me. The text is loose
from the binding, but the binding is intact. The
whole thing is in pretty good shape.

Clipping of "Nippono Park This Week", this
is an excerpt:

"Nearly all the cottages at the park were
occupied during the week. Hopkins' Marjo
cottage sheltered the Pastime outing club,
the members of whom form an unusually lively
crowd. The Pastime's membership is composed
of Miss Agnes Hull, Elysburg; Miss Annie
Wolverton, Shamokin; Misses Flo and Lillie
Mertz, Kate and Rebecca Salada, Williamsport;
Harry Hawley, Northumberland; Charles Meck
and E.F. Watt, Williamsport. The Pastime is
chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Gheer, of
this city. Mr. Gheer has grown gray headed
in his endeavors to acquit himself creditably
of the grave responsibilities resting upon him.
He has 'ruled with a rod of iron,' and the
club is seriously considering the advisability
of deposing him."
